Summary
This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) accomplishes objectives of the Resource Definition Task Force (RTF) undertaken at the direction of the Protocol Revision Subcommittee (PRS). Specifically, this NPRR: provides a definition for the term Settlement Only Energy Storage System (SOESS) and further defines them as transmission-connected or distribution-connected; relocates the definition for Settlement Only Generator (SOG) from underneath Resource to stand alone as its own unrelated term; and incorporates the relevant SOESS terms into the Market Information System (MIS) reporting created for SOGs via NPRR917, Nodal Pricing for Settlement Only Distribution Generators (SODGs) and Settlement Only Transmission Generators (SOTGs).
