ReasonSince October 1, 2006, ERCOT has been assessing an NIS, most recently $0.375 per MWh of generation, to fund implementation of the Nodal market. ERCOT achieved full recovery of these costs with the Initial Settlement of Operating Day January 1, 2013. The NIS was discontinued with the Settlement of Operating Day January 2, 2013.
