ReasonPresently, the market (and possibly ERCOT) has extremely limited information on the MW capability and location of demand response Resources. Given that existing infrastructure, ERCOT situational awareness, Resource commitment and Locational Marginal Prices (LMPs) can be affected by demand response, this is a gap that needs to be addressed through enhanced reporting. Additionally, ERCOT would benefit from more granular information reported through a standard process to use in Load forecasting and commitment algorithms as well as the Report on the Capacity, Demand, and Reserves in the ERCOT Region and other short and long term analyses.
