NPRR421 Clarification of RMR Notifications
ReasonPresently there is an information gap for non-RMR Entities which can impact business strategies for bilateral energy contracts, Congestion Revenue Rights (CRRs), and participation in the Day-Ahead Market (DAM). The asymmetrical information provision under the existing Protocols provides potential advantage to some Entities and potential disadvantage to others.

Summary
This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) updates the Protocols to ensure that ERCOT issues Market Notices to Market Participants contemporaneously with ERCOT’s activities with Reliability Must-Run (RMR) Unit and Must-Run Alternative (MRA) Resource owners.
