NPRR #288 · Revision Request
NPRR288 Selection of CRR Load Distribution Factors for Use in CRR Monthly and Annual Auctions
ReasonThe revised process for the selection of CRR Auction Load distribution factors will result in a CRR Auction solution that better reflects the system conditions that are expected to exist in the auction month. Summary
As ERCOT has worked through improvements in development of the Load distribution factor values used in the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) and Network Model validation process, this Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) has been created to allow the Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Auction process to leverage use of this alternative Load distribution factor for monthly CRR Auctions. In this manner, the monthly CRR Auction and DAM are more operationally accurate and aligned. This NPRR also includes a change to Section 7.3 to clarify that the Flowgate Revenue Rights, which ERCOT is required to auction, are those flowgates defined and described in accordance with Section 7.3.1, Flowgates.
