NPRR #72 · Revision Request
NPRR072 Day-Ahead RMR Settlement Clarifications
ReasonThis NPRR provides for consistent treatment of RMR Units in Day-Ahead settlement calculations, in that an "AMT" data cut is not created for RMR Units via the Day-Ahead Energy Payment or the Day-Ahead Make-Whole Payment. Removing the Day-Ahead Make-Whole Payment Amount data cuts (DAMWAMT) for RMR Units reduces the potential for confusion because all DAMWAMT data cuts received by a Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) will support the DAMWAMT value provided on the statement.

Sections Affected
4.6.2.3.1 Day-Ahead Make-Whole Payment; and 4.6.2.3.2 Day-Ahead Make-Whole Charge
Summary
This NPRR modifies the Day-Ahead Make-Whole Payment calculation such that an Amount data cut is not calculated for an eligible Reliability Must Run (RMR) Unit; consistent with the Protocol requirement prohibiting RMR Units from receiving payment through the Day-Ahead Make Whole Payment.
